Whether it’s for a special occasion or just a quick snack to hold you over until dinner. If you’ve never had afternoon tea, expect finger sandwiches with yummy fillings like cucumber and tuna, as well as a variety of baked goods including scones and often tarts.
Relax in Hyde Park
Hyde Park is the crown jewel of London (figuratively, of course).
You could spend days exploring this sprawling green space with hidden gems around every corner. If you’re in town visiting or have the afternoon off, take your time! Make a day of it. If you’re a history buff or fan of politics, don’t miss Speaker’s Corner or the various memorials, fountains and statues in the park. If you fancy a swim, take a dip in the Serpentine.
This doesn’t even scratch the surface of things to do and see in Hyde Park, with children’s playgrounds, gorgeous gardens, and even an art gallery on-site.
Of course, you could also just…..sit. If you’re taking a break from work especially, a relaxed picnic on your own might be exactly what you need to re-charge and re-focus. You’ll find plenty of other people doing the same!
